SOPA in partnership with Pax Christi plus other inplementing partners developed a Peace and Sports programme for Youth Warriors in Sudan, Uganda and Kenya, together with local partners. The purpose of this long-range programme is to use sports as a means to reduce violence and cattle raiding and to stimulate peace and social cohesion by bringing together previously hostile population groups.........

The overall goal, purpose and objectives of the Peace and Development project is to enhance peaceful coexistence among the different ethnic communities in Kenya Ensure reduction of post election and political violent conflict to pave way for dialogue and peaceful settlement of political issues.........

SOPA believes that aspects of life of a human being occur in a holistic manner. Whereas peace remains the main focus for the organization, it is also appreciated that peace movement alone will not sustain itself unless other supportive components are considered and integrated in the programme establishment ................

Sopa is undertaking in Partnership with Fundacion Intervida, an educational and community development project in the Lake Victoria fronting districts to bring resilience to displaced and dispossessed victims of post election violence by relieving them of pain and saving endangered lives.............
